Iris forgives her and leaves the hospital room, crying. “For lack of a better word, we were really ignorant to what was going on.”. Wally visits Iris to let her know he’s going to go see their mom. Reverse-Flash shows up to snag Christina McGee (Amanda Pays) and The Flash appears to save her. Eventually, Patty goes through Barry’s case files and realizes he’s the Flash. When Zoom stole his speed, it affected him on a molecular level.

Patty, though, has one more trick up her sleeve before leaving the show. After all this buildup, it feels remarkably lackluster. the latter half of season 6. How this gets confusing, is that this should change not only the future of the what happens in the show (since Eddie will never have kids, thus erasing his lineage from the future), since Eobard goes to the past, it should change that as well, given that he significantly altered the original Dr. Wells’ timeline, as well as Barry’s, and people surrounding both of them. She wants to hear the truth. This Eobard hasn’t yet killed Barry’s mother, impersonated Harrison Wells, or wormed his way into the lives of Cisco and Caitlin. let him kill his mother, hijack Earth 1 Wells' body, etc.

Part of her very much wants to stay rather than leave for school. She’s actually been looking through Barry’s old files and has put two and two together.

However, his cells are unable to help Jay because Jay’s cells were mutated when he became a speedster. At the end of the episode, Wally finally agrees to see Francine despite still feeling angry that she kept Joe and Iris a secret from him.

As much as she seeks some peace for her family, she also wants to give Francine peace of mind before her passing. Caitlin leaves and Patty’s confused about why Barry is working with S.T.A.R.

Eobard’s gone and Cisco is back. Of course he already thought of finding his doppelganger, and actually already found him. As for Iris’s storyline this episode, although her mother’s death is just a side story, I felt like Iris’s “goodbye” to her mother was really short. Just then, Barry gets a phone call from Patty that she’s on the train and there’s a man with a gun. All of his cases happen to line up with Flash-related incidents, with logical leaps someone couldn’t make…unless they were The Flash. Now Barry has one more problem to deal with — Patty (Shantel VanSanten). Eobard admits he wanted to be him but the ability to travel through time revealed he wasn’t going to be as good as The Flash and would instead be his biggest enemy.

Iris tells Francine that she’s not angry at her anymore, but she wishes she would have come back a lot sooner, because she would have forgiven her then, just like she’s forgiven her now. Barry and the rest of Team Flash can run, run, run all they want, but eventually, they’ll have to stand still and face the challenges in their lives. Things only get worse from there. But I suppose the whole scene with stopping the black hole kind of prevented that from fully happening, because really, this timeline should have been erased from existence too, since Eobard Thawne would have never been able to kill Barry’s mother, since he didn’t exist. They really should have let her in on the secret a long time ago.

Jay says it doesn’t matter anyway because their DNA won’t match. And Iris. She did get to say goodbye to her mom and hopes that he’ll go see her while he still can.

This Thawne just happens to come from an earlier point in time than the Thawne they all fought last season. But that proves impossible, as Jay explains to her. However, this vibe is special.

Back at the S.T.A.R. At S.T.A.R. Dr. Wells is insistent on Barry training to become faster. Cisco remembers that in his vision there was a clock that said 9:52. I think it’s safe to say that even viewers who like her character — a contingent I’m not a part of — don’t want to see Patty take precedence over the Reverse-Flash/Eobard Thawne. They also enjoy board games and pop culture and comic conventions. When Patty realizes that Barry (and Joe) work with S.T.A.R.

Cisco uses them to find Reverse-Flash coercing Dr. McGee into using tachyons to create a portal back home, after which he proceeds to kill the good doctor.
