Many of the restaurants in Wassenaar are delicious, and the town is very pretty. There are so many things to do and the amusement park is excellent. Alternatively you can look at getting a cab from Schipol to the park – prices vary wildly depending on who you use but the cheapest quotes we’ve seen have been for around €70: you’ll need to shop around. What are some of the property amenities at Duinrell? We stayed in the lodge tents were are super cool, the kids loved it.
Though you could also look at going with another family and sharing a cabin which would reduce the cost too. We used the restaurant twice and although everything looks wonderful, the hot food was basic, remained the same each week and not very well cooked, the pizza’s we rubbish, I would rather pay more and have a good meal. It was never too packed but great fun for all 3 of us – with 18 holes, some of which were pretty tricky. The young man who came to help us was inexperienced and when we pointed out that our pitch would be blocking 2 motorhomes behind us, he did not care. Not to mention the narrow access road into our area and the large low hanging tree branches made access very difficult. If you have a caravan or motorhome over 7m in length I would be very careful if I was you, our Caravan was 8m and our car 5m so the combined length was 13mAt each tap point there is a hole in the ground for waste water, but we realised that these “holes” did not connect to the sites waste water infrastructure but were just “soak” ways that went into the soil. The distance, not just for us but other camping areas, to the Cassette Toilet waste disposal point was quite a long walk with a heavy cassette. The whole camping area/s need a manager who understands camping and a better strategy around pitch size, access and waste disposal distances. In my view, Tents should have dedicated areas, pitches should be identified for Caravans and Motorhomes over 7m taking in to count pitch size and ease of access/exitIf they are providing Water on pitch, then it should be dedicated to the pitch so we can plug in our mains water connection to our Caravan/Motorhome. Again the pools are kept very clean. The shop is well-stocked and fairly good value. All in all, it was a nice park in a good location. Yes, ants encroached but you can't blame Duinrell for that. Very happy with the service received and looking forward to going next year instead, At a time when company’s are showing there true colours Duinrell has certainly done that. Guests can enjoy an on-site restaurant and a lounge during their stay. Full refund wouldn't have been available if we wanted to cancel completely, but then I would have claimed on my travel insurance. There were some rides that we did not have time to do the second time - there were so many. There are more places to choose from in the Wassenaar area.
Some of the more popular amenities offered include an indoor pool, an on-site restaurant, and a lounge.
The kitchen also worked well – we had a microwave, hob and oven and lots of utensils. If you have older kids we reckon this type of holiday would be great to give them a bit of freedom but also be in a safe environment. However, these are only minor suggestions and I would.
Take bug spray and watch out for wasps.

Accomodation was fine, my only gripe was the linen package, we got 3 thin white towels (one each) and one set of bedding each (2 beds), which, in this hot weather, wasn't enough and we could have done with it being replaced half way through the week. more. The boys played football for example, and the team just sat on the side, talking and ignoring the game. There are several restaurants and a bar which has lots of events on in the evenings like karaoke, bingo and even musical shows like Aladdin. You can also book a welcome pack which includes basics like tea, coffee, and jam.
We have taken the boys on various different holidays before and have always found animation teams to be very caring and enthusiastic. Usually if we stay in an hotel we’re in one room – the cabin with it’s separated spaces was way preferable, and even though the doors weren’t thick, once our daughter was asleep she wouldn’t be woken up by us watching a movie on the laptop. Due to this there were no queues for the slides and you could go on them again and again, and the pool wasn't very busy. It's a nice holiday park in a good location and our Azure 3 bed holiday home was lovely, but I think I thought the theme park would be a bit bigger and better after reading so many glowing reviews. Review of Duinrell Reviewed 11 November 2008 We were really looking forward to staying at Duinrell but were bitterly disappointed by the quality of Eurocamp mobile home we stayed in. We didn’t feel like we were camping but still felt close to the outdoors, and the lodge had everything we needed. Extremely expensive for very basic caravan. By the way, the water taps on the pitches are useless, you can’t connect to them, they are stupid “bath” taps, not the screw type. So, on the pitches, be very careful if your Caravan/motorhome is more than 7m and do not trust reception to know whether your van will fit or not, because they don’t really know, and they do not understand the issues. The floors were dirty, the pull out sofa bed was partly broken. We would definitely go back, but maybe not for a couple of year's as we would like to try some other eurocamps. Cabins vary a lot in size and in terms of how many people they accommodate. What we did see was quite a lot of children in the 11 to 13 age bracket hanging around together. This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. There was plenty of room for somewhere more comfortable to sit and relax. It was actually perfect for wandering round a theme park, but a bit chilly to sit out on our veranda in the evenings and we did put the heating on a couple of times.
What food & drink options are available at Duinrell? Opening hours - these changed whilst we were there. MFM verdict: As our first Eurocamp experience, we have to say – we loved it, and most importantly, so did our daughter. All good fun! We did think it was a bit annoying that it wasn’t complementary but – once we had it, the signal was good and everything landed fast so for us it was money well spent.

Accommodation - I would definitely only book an Azure or better if I went again as you get a queen size bed rather than a double which meant we were much more comfortable. We weren't supposed to stay here, but our Eurocamp in France got cancelled so we moved to Duinrell after 4 days at Beekse Bergen. In addition, our child was old enough/tall enough to go on some of the bigger rides but didn’t want to go on her own which meant me and Daddy had to do some pretty stomach-churning rides.
