Following Capilano Road as it continues northbound, passing the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Salmon Hatchery on your left. Cross the trail and continue straight as the path stays fairly level for a brief time before descending even further into the canyon. At this point, turn right and continue making your way downhill until after 5 minutes you reach another section where the trail forks. more. Capilano River Regional Park Loop is a 8.2 kilometer heavily trafficked loop trail located near North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels.

Nice easy hike, started about a 5 min walk from the suspension bridge and detoured to the salmon hatchery. about upcoming contests, and special offers. Access to the Capilano Canyon can be gained from several locations, however for the purpose of this description, the trail begins at Cleveland Dam.

Amazing trees to be seen here. And of course, there were refreshments to buy & a nifty gift shop w/ fudge & Canada souvenirs! The Capilano River has always been an important landmark on the North Shore, serving as the border between North and West Vancouver and emptying into Burrard Inlet next to the Lions Gate Bridge. I would recommend in non-covid times or during the week, not during the weekend. This loop should give you the best views of the canyon, pass the hatchery and Cleveland Dam, and also pass through the forested area on the West Vancouver side. I went all the way to the salmon growing centre and back to the dam. Wonder if there's forest fairies here. We visited the hatchery which was much cooler than we thought it would be.
