The language, gender, cultural barriers are so significant that if this book were fiction (verses a memoir) i'd put it down because the premise would seem so preposterous. Hated it. The book made her appear Brave and strong the film portrayed her as foolish and naive. From the first page, I could tell this story would not end well. She almost died in the process, but kept at it.
